Getting the first sight to see the newly revamped R&R turned into an iconic restaurant that's inspired by a long, pointy roof that is synonymous with traditional Negeri Sembilan houses.
The ceremony was officiated with the presence of YAB Dato 'Seri Haji Aminuddin bin Harun, Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan and also YBhg Dato ’Azmir Jaafar, Managing Director and Local Operating Partner of McDonald’s Malaysia Cum Chairman of the Ronald McDonald Malaysia Welfare Association (RMHC).
What's The Reason For This Official Ceremony Held For?
McDonald’s Malaysia today celebrated the official opening of McDonald's restaurants in Tampin, Negeri Sembilan. In line with the Government’s initiative in transforming Negeri Sembilan into a developing state.
McDonald’s Malaysia aims to play a part in the socio-economic development of Negeri Sembilan by providing employment opportunities, helping special needs children with the inauguration of the Ronald McDonald Sensory Room-Yayasan Jaafar Ahmad and channelling welfare assistance through the payment of corporate 'zakat'

How Does McDonald’s Tampin Contribute To The Economic Development Of Negeri Sembilan?
McDonald’s Malaysia strives to contribute to the state Government’s initiatives with the state’s socio-economic development and offer employment opportunities for the local community, especially in Tampin through the opening of McDonald’s Restaurant in Tampin.
McDonald's Tampin is the 15th restaurant opened in Negeri Sembilan, with a strategic location close to the Melaka-Negeri Sembilan state border allowing easy accessibility for customers from various areas. McDonald’s Malaysia expects this restaurant to provide happy moments to customers from the surrounding area. Since opening at the end of 2020, the restaurant has managed to achieve outstanding sales, a figure that is very impressive for a newly-establish restaurant.

What's Unique About McDonald’s Tampin Restaurant?
The official opening ceremony was officiated by YAB Dato 'Seri Haji Aminuddin bin Harun, Chief Minister of Negeri Sembilan. The original building of McDonald’s Tampin Restaurant is the Tampin Rest House and was taken over by McDonald’s Malaysia to open a McDonald’s restaurant. The restaurant is also the first restaurant to have a unique design inspired by a long roof that is synonymous with traditional Negeri Sembilan houses.
Apart from the unique design, McDonald’s Tampin Restaurant is also paired with Ronald McDonald Sensory Room - Yayasan Jaafar Ahmad.
Since 1999, the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) has started sponsoring Ronald McDonald Sensory Rooms (RMSR) nationwide.
What Is The Ronald McDonald Sensory Room (RMSR)?
The Ronald McDonald Sensory Room is a facility provided for children with special needs and learning difficulties to improve their cognitive skills and increase their self-confidence.

How Many RMHC Sensory Rooms (RMSR) Are There In Malaysia?
To date, RMHC has developed a total of 35 sensory rooms throughout Malaysia, the largest network of sensory therapy rooms in Malaysia, with a sponsorship cost of more than RM4 million and has benefited more than 7,000 special children, including in Sabah and Sarawak.
What Is The Total Amount Of Corporate Zakat Paid By McDonald’s Malaysia To MAINs?
At the same event, McDonald’s Malaysia also handed over corporate zakat payments worth RM180,000 to the Negeri Sembilan Islamic Religious Council (MAINs) to be distributed to asnafs and the needy throughout Negeri Sembilan. MAINs were represented by Dato ’Dr Abd Aziz Bin Sheikh Ab. Kadir, Chairman of the Negeri Sembilan Islamic Religious Council.

McDonald’s Malaysia has planned to open several more new branches in Rembau, Senawang and Rasah.
