Last week, we had a family dinner to celebrate my baby girl's A'isya Inara's 2nd birthday at Ombak Kitchen. What we love about this restaurant is that Ombak Kitchen is known as The Best Restaurant for Birthday Celebration in Bangsar apart from being one of The Best Halal Seafood restaurant in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

Do you know that since 2018, Ombak Kitchen, a fun-filled family restaurant has genuinely served up affordable seafood, fresh from the shores and chomp down 'shell-out style' to enjoy the premium seafoods cooked to perfection with your bare hands. Not forgetting their incredible range of signature sauces that suits everyone’s taste buds.

We chose the Buttermilk Curry and of course the Signature Ombak Crazy Cajun Sauce. Simply delicious and finger-licking good!!

Everything you love from the sea poured onto a covered table, waiting for you to gobble down and relish your seafood with your bare hands and enjoy it all until the last morsel.

Conventional utensils are optional as diners are encourage to indulge everything on the table for more holistic and unique dining experience hence the tagline #pakaitanganjer which means ‘use your hands’. But no worries, you may ask for a plastic hand cover too if you prefer. Your choice , really !

What makes it special is that they customise birthday art desserts for the birthday girl/boy of the day !

Their signature, ‘Ombak Kitchen Signature Art of Dessert” features a selection of fruits from local and international , and also fried nutella donuts. Drawing on the inspiration of Chef's creativity. You can request whatever you want the chef to write for you. It’s for any occasion that you want to celebrate !!

My family really enjoyed our dinner together. The kids love the buttermilk curry, even though it has a bit of spiciness on the end note but because it's so yummy and flavourful. My kids just savour and finish it all. Now that is a great sign for kids that don't really eat spicy food.
